Living with local residents is a great way to observe and experience the relaxed and alternative lifestyle for which Australia and Byron Bay is so well known.
This experience can give you the opportunity to learn, firsthand, more about Australian culture and to immerse yourself in a Native English speaking environment. In your home you will be provided with a private room of your own furnished with a bed, wardrobe and study desk.
Our Homestay Hosts
At RealTalk we are committed to ensuring an enjoyable Homestay experience by providing only the highest of quality homes to our students. For this reason, all hosts are exclusively selected through a process of interviewing and home visits, so that we can guarantee your home environment for the duration of your stay in Byron will be a fun and supportive one.
It is our aim to make the process as easy and comfortable as possible, therefore, we also arrange for our hosts to make contact with you before you even arrive in Australia.
You will receive a letter, email or (if possible) a skype call from your hosts introducing themselves and allowing you the chance to ask any questions you may have before you leave your home country. Our hosts may include families, couples, retirees or any other suitable local residents interested in sharing their home and culture with our students.
Most importantly, we ensure all of our hosts are Native English Speakers and have lived in the Byron Shire community for at least one year, which means they are able to share with you the many attractions and activities the local area has to offer.
